         มาตรา ๓๔๓*  ถ้าการกระทำความผิดตามมาตรา ๓๔๑ ได้กระทำด้วยการแสดงข้อความอันเป็นเท็จต่อประชาชน หรือด้วยการปกปิดความจริงซึ่งควรบอกให้แจ้งแก่ประชาชน ผู้กระทำต้องระวางโทษจำคุกไม่เกินห้าปี หรือปรับไม่เกินหนึ่งแสนบาท หรือทั้งจำทั้งปรับ

         ถ้าการกระทำความผิดดังกล่าวในวรรคแรก ต้องด้วยลักษณะดังกล่าวในมาตรา ๓๔๒ อนุมาตราหนึ่งอนุมาตราใดด้วย ผู้กระทำต้องระวางโทษจำคุกตั้งแต่หกเดือนถึงเจ็ดปี และปรับตั้งแต่หนึ่งหมื่นบาทถึงหนึ่งแสนสี่หมื่นบาท

     Section 343. If the offense under section 341 is committed by making any false statement to the people or by concealing any fact which should be revealed to the people, the perpetrator shall be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years or to a fine not exceeding one hundred thousand baht or both.

       If the commission of the offense as specified in paragraph one also has the characteristic as specified in any of the subsections of section 342, the perpetrator shall be liable to imprisonment for a term of six months to seven years and to a fine of ten thousand to one hundred and forty thousand baht.
